Your responsibilities
- Being responsible for the technical implementation of necessary security measures and security controls to protect the IT infrastructure from cyber attacks and unauthorized access (e.g. ISO27001)
- Being responsible for the introduction, further development, management and supporting of security solutions, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS) and security information and event management (SIEM)
- Identifying and assessing potential security risks and vulnerabilities and proactively developing and pursue measureing to mitigate them or minimize their impact
- Carrying out penetration tests independently to determine the strengths and weaknesses of our security architecture
- In the event of security incidents, supporting the necessary steps and being available to rectify the vulnerabilities
- Working closely with our IT teams to develop innovative IT security concepts and implement them together with the IT teams
- Acting as a multiplier for IT security and strengthen security awareness throughout the company
- Ensuring proper documentation in the context of IT information security
- Very good German and English skills
Your qualifications
- Sucessfully gained a degree in computer science, information security or a comparable qualification
- 3+ years of experience in IT security and therefore experienced with cyber security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus software
- Knowledge of network security, encryption, authentication and access control
- Having (basic) knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH or similar are an advantage
- Having an understanding of concepts of cloud technologies such as Infrastructure as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Collaborating with other teams and having the ability to effectively communicate security needs and risks
- Experienced in the implementation and operation of SIEM, VA scanners, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, network monitoring and endpoint security solutions
- Gained experience in implementing security concepts in the Kubernetes environment
- Very good German skills and good English skills
