Family seal award for eos.uptrade

"We are very happy about the award and the results of the surveys show us that we are doing a lot right when it comes to family friendliness," says Wiebke Burrichter, Head of the People Team at eos.uptrade, who organised and accompanied the audit.

For the award ceremony, selected employees were asked in advance about the family-friendliness of the company. Topics such as parental leave, return from parental leave, flexibility in working hours (full/part-time), home office options and flexibility during lockdown were taken into account.

"Work-life balance is very important to us in the company," Wiebke Burrichter explains further. "We want to support our colleagues in every way possible, especially in difficult times like the current ones. For us, this also includes offering every opportunity to make the everyday life of families around Corona as easy as possible. Be it in the form of parental leave or reduced working hours also for fathers, or the possibility to work flexibly from a home office. We are open to very many family-friendly measures and are always happy to receive new suggestions in this area and also try to implement them if possible."

The Hamburg Senate, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts are working together to establish Hamburg as a family-friendly city in Germany. Families enrich every city, strengthen human interaction and care for each other. The Hamburg Alliance for Families has set itself the goal of making Hamburg a city where families enjoy living and working.

The Hamburg Family Seal is an award of the Hamburg Alliance for Businesses, which has been awarded since 2007. It is awarded to those companies which, through their family-friendly corporate policy, offer their employees an appropriate work-life balance on a sustainable basis, which is reasonable for the company in terms of type and scope, taking into account the company's purpose and size. Since the awarding of the Hamburg Family Seal, Allianz has had the pleasure of honouring 370 companies with around 35,000 employees.
